LOGWOOD

* We can no longer supply logs in loads of under 2m3*

Logs for Wood Burning Stoves

This firewood is best used on wood burning stoves. We recommend these logs for enclosed fires due to the amount of sparks they give off, however they will burn just as long as our logs for open fires. These logs are made up of Chestnut and Cedar wood and burn with a traditional and satisfying crackle. These logs are recommended for wood burning stoves* and Aga cookers.

Full load £180 inc VAT (approx 2.8m3)

Delivery is free to the Maidstone area. Please provide your postcode when ordering to confirm delivery costs.

Logs for Open Fires

This product will contain a variety of quality firewood such as Apple, Ash, Cherry, Oak, and Beech. This wood will burn for longer than our softwood logs and with fewer sparks than our firewood for log burning stoves. These logs will burn bright and clear and will create a welcoming atmosphere in your home. This is the only wood we will recommend for an open fire.

Customer notice for wood sold in volumes of 2 cubic metres or more in England

This wood is not suitable for burning until it has been dried. You should not burn wood until it has a moisture content of 20% or less.
Wet wood contains moisture which creates smoke and harmful particulates when burnt. As well as being harmful to your health and the environment, this can damage your stove and chimney and is an inefficient way to heat your home. Dry it in a sunny, well-aired space for at least two years, keeping rain off in the winter.
Radial cracks and bark that comes off easily suggests wood that is ready for burning. Test the wood when you think it is ready for burning, ideally with a moisture meter. First calibrate the meter and then measure a freshly split surface to get the best reading.
